TOOLS AND IDEAS TO GET YOU STARTED

This page contains my favorite products and services that I have come across on my blogging journey to being more eco-friendly. Blogging Tools:

Canva - FREE to sign up, Canva provides several templates for creating graphics of different sizes. Pick your size of graphic, choose your layout, customize it, and easily download it to share. Some graphics cost money but plenty are free. 

Creative Market - If you are looking for fonts, themes, templates, images, etc. Creative Market has it all. There are many FREE resources and many you have to paid for. Select/high quality artist list their stuff for you to use on all kinds of projects. Make sure you read their disclosure policy before using. 

MailChimp - An email/marketing service. MailChimp is very easy to use and has a lot of email templates and ideas to start with. The basic plan is FREE and as your business grows there are more plans available to fit your needs.

SquareSpace - I use SquareSpace for my website hosting. Their backend is very clean and easy to use. They also have a great help section on their website full of videos and articles. SquareSpace has templates great for blogging but also offer larger plans perfect for opening an online store.

UnSplash - A community of photographers sharing their work for FREE. There is such an awesome variety of photos to choose from. Any UnSplash photo I have used on my website will be in this curated collection I created: Green Life Dreams Images

Vista Print - Offers a large variety of business cards and marketing pieces. The prices are great and you should always be able to get a discount code to use on your order. There are several templates to use for an easy start or professional design service is available too.

Wave - A bookkeeping system for small businesses. This is a FREE service that can help you keep your finances in line from the beginning without any upfront cost. They make it easy by offering a lot of getting starting guides. They also offer payroll services as a paid feature. 

 

 

Eco-Friendly Tools:

Recycle by City - Provides VERY HELPFUL information on items that can or cannot be recycled. It even lets you choose your location which is helpful since different areas have specific restrictions. 

Recycle Coach - Here you can search your city, view the recycling pickup schedule, and set reminders. There are also several useful articles shared on their site. 

Waste Management - This site has a lot of helpful articles and information for individuals, businesses, and more.
